In 2022, The Chief was in the thick of his Yu-Gi-Oh! fan phase, but even though he didn't understand a word, he was fascinated by the Japanese (OCG) tournament scene. He watched YouTube video after YouTube video, match after match. Why? Well, the answer is very simple: They just had the most amazing card sleeves he’d ever seen.

The Chief was frustrated by the fact that in the West, the variety of sleeves and TCG accessories in general was very limited. After getting his hands on his first packs of Japanese-designed sleeves, he was certain: He wanted to make these available to EVERYONE! So he first launched SleeveChief to sell Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG sleeves to the West (TCG), something that had never been done before in that way. Things were going very well—75% of his entire stock sold out within the first day! But something was missing…

Selling the Japanese sleeves was great, but the boss wasn’t entirely satisfied. These products looked really good, but he felt there was still room for improvement. Working with and using these sleeves day after day led him to think about different possibilities and concepts for design and quality. The urge grew very strong, and so he had this thought: “What if I create my own TCG accessories? What if I put all my experience to use? What if I could even improve the quality and come up with an even better design?” This was the very moment when the journey of the world’s largest TCG accessories company reached a pivotal point. It was no longer just about sleeves—it was about ALL accessories!
